Born and raised in China, where integrative medicine is deeply ingrained in the culture, Dr. Wang brings a unique perspective to her practice. Having immigrated to the United States during high school, she attended college at Loyola University Chicago with a major in biology and minor in philosophy and healthcare ethics. She embarked on her medical journey at Rush University in Chicago. During her time in medical school, Dr. Wang took the initiative to found a student organization that focused on promoting and integrating this approach into medical education and patient care.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Wang deliberately selected a residency program that offered comprehensive education and training in this field. It was during this period that she had the opportunity to complete the Integrative Medicine in Residency program at the renowned University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. This program equipped her with invaluable skills and knowledge, solidifying her commitment to delivering holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of well-being.
Dr. Wang continued her career in a private practice in Chicago, where she worked for several years before relocating to California. In California, she spent over five years at Kaiser Permanente and later worked with One Medical in Palo Alto. Motivated by a desire to improve patient care and emphasize Integrative Medicine, Dr. Wang founded her own clinic. By blending her expertise in primary care, integrative medicine, and her profound understanding of cultural diversity, Dr. Wang is aimed to treat each patient as a whole and to meet the unique healthcare needs of her patients.
